Cultivation & Post-Harvest Operations · Trifecta Farms
What you'll actually do
Harvest & post-harvest
- Trim flower to spec by hand — consistent stem removal, no shake in the buds, no buds in the trim. We do not chase speed at the cost of quality.
Pre-rolls, packaging, labeling
- Grind dried flower for pre-rolls; weigh and pack pre-roll cones to spec (0.5g, 1g, etc.) within tolerance.
- Pack flower into jars or pouches at exact gram weights using calibrated scales.
- Apply METRC labels and consumer-facing labels with zero mismatches between tag, weight, strain name, batch, and test results.
- Verify your own work and a peer's at every shift handoff.
Cleaning & compliance
- Clean your station, your tools, and the shared equipment (trim trays, jars, scales, scissors, grinders) to SOP every shift.
- Follow cleanliness and contamination protocols. Wash hands, change gloves, don't cross-contaminate strains.
- Help with deep-clean rotations, and other tasks that keep the facility audit-ready.
Who thrives in this role
This is repetitive precision work in a regulated environment. Across decades of industrial-organizational psychology research (Wilmot & Ones 2019; Pletzer et al. 2019; Schmidt & Hunter 1998), four traits have consistently predicted performance and retention in roles like this. We hire for them deliberately.
You don't need to be the fastest, the most outgoing, or the most ambitious. You don't need to love cannabis (though it doesn't hurt). You do need to be the kind of person whose word is good and whose attention to detail doesn't drop when nobody's watching.
What we don't expect
- Cannabis experience. We train. The plant is the easy part.
- A specific personality. Quiet introverts and steady extraverts both do this work well.
- Speed at the expense of accuracy. If a coworker tells you to cut a corner to hit a number, the answer is no.
What we offer
- Steady hourly schedule on a single shift. We don't run rotating shifts.
- Paid training, paid sick time, paid Trifecta orientation curriculum.
- Massachusetts CCC Registered Agent registration paid for by Trifecta.
- A clean facility, real ventilation, ergonomic stations, and management that takes the work seriously.
Requirements
- 21 or older (state law).
- Eligible for CCC Registered Agent status — we file the paperwork; you pass the background check (we do not disqualify for cannabis-only convictions).
- Able to stand or sit for an 8-hour shift, lift up to 30 lb occasionally, and perform sustained fine-motor work (trimming, weighing, labeling).
- Reliable transportation.
- High-school diploma or GED.
Hiring process
Application then a 20-minute work-style assessment (mobile, on your time) then a 30-minute interview with the hiring manager then a reference check then an offer. We typically move through this in 5 to 10 business days. Massachusetts G.L. c. 149 section 19B notice is on the application. The work-style assessment is voluntary and covers your preferences and how you handle common workplace situations — it is not a lie detector or a medical examination.
